WHAT SERVICE DO YOU OFFER?
The rental of various sizes of Category-5 Safes located within a first of its kind secure vault which is only accessible by you (the primary user) or by secondary users formally nominated by the primary user. When it comes to security, there is no comparable facility within South Africa.

WHY DO I NEED A SAFE?
If you are concerned about the security of your valuables in your home or business then a safe at Vault Prive is an ideal solution. Further, your insurance premiums would be drastically reduced if you store your valuables in our facility.
HOW DO YOU CHARGE?
You can sign up on a month-to-month basis or take advantage of a reduced rate by committing to an annual contract. Payments can also be made monthly or annually in advance.
WHAT IS YOUR SMALLEST SAFE?
Our smallest safe measures 400mm x 400mm x 400mm – this is considerably larger than a regular safety deposit box and is the smallest size in which you can obtain a Category-5 rating.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE THAT MY VALUABLES ARE SECURE?
Vault Prive applies multiple layers of technological security and physical barriers to access your vault in order to create a security environment that is unmatched and unrivalled within South Africa. The only reason we are not elaborating further on this is to keep our security protocols/measures confidential.
DO I HAVE PRIVACY INSIDE THE SECURITY VAULT?
We only allow a single customer into the vault at any one time and also offer private viewing rooms, giving our customers the ultimate privacy and discretion when viewing their valuables.
CAN I INSURE THE CONTENTS OF MY SAFE THROUGH YOU?
While we are not an insurance company, we can insure the vault contents through Lloyds of London based on a value you declare to us. You will then need to reimburse us in accordance with the level of cover we require for your account.
WHAT DO I NEED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT?
We will require you to prove your identity using an acceptable form of photographic identification (a valid ID, drivers’ licence or passport) and CIPC documents if you are transacting on behalf of a company.
HOW MANY KEYS TO THE SAFE ARE THERE?
Over and above your key, each safe contains two further independent locking mechanisms that need to be simultaneously unlocked in order to access to your safe.
WHAT CANNOT BE KEPT IN THE SAFE?
You are not permitted to store items such as: noxious materials, explosives, firearms, ammunition, gas canisters, liquids, drugs or perishable items. See our terms and conditions for more information.
WHAT IF I NEED TO ACCESS MY SAFE OUTSIDE OF OPERATING HOURS?
This can be arranged as a special request with at least 24 hours prior notice. An additional charge will be levied to your account for these requests.
IS THERE PARKING?
Yes – we have secure designated parking spaces for use during your visit.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I PASS AWAY?
All individual customers must provide next-of-kin and other contact details on the application. The normal estate laws will apply. Your executor would deal with your safe contents as they would with any of your other assets.
